Food Film Festival partners
The Food Film Festival is supported by partners who share our vision of building a better food system. Rabobank Amsterdam and Oxfam Novib are once again our principal partners, but new this year is our partnership with Jamie magazine.
The uneven access to food around the world is of great concern to both Oxfam Novib and the Youth Food Movement – and so also the Food Film Festival. Oxfam Novib’s global GROW campaign promotes small-scale agriculture and more sustainable food production, and greater social justice, particularly in food distribution. They are ambitious goals, of course, but the more people become aware of the problem, the closer the solutions.
RabobankRabobank has always been a cooperative bank – ‘established by farmers’ – so the link is obvious. The role of banks and other financial institutions in food production is significant but certainly not without controversy. In the future we will have to move towards a more sustainable way of growing food, a way that perhaps offers less return on investment. These are interesting developments that politicians, farmers, financial institutions and consumers will have to go through together. That's why we welcome the support of a bank that is firmly rooted in Dutch soil.
Jamie magazine
Jamie magazine is one of the Food Film Festival's new principal partners. The key factor in this new collaboration is without a doubt our mutual love of healthy and tasty food. During the festival, we will be joining forces with Jamie magazine to bring you the Cutting techniques workshops. In three 15-minute sessions, participants will learn various cutting techniques. The ingredients will then be turned into a tasty ceviche and eaten. Tickets for these workshops will only be on sale during the festival. The workshops will be given on a continuous basis, on Friday between 14.30 and 18.30 and on Saturday and Sunday between 11.00 and 18.00.
The Food Film Festival would also like to thank all its other food, location and media partners and suppliers.
