FFF inspiration: Wastecooking
Thousands of kilos of edible food are thrown away each year. In the Netherlands alone, we throw away an average of 74 kilos of food. Enter wastecooking: ‘rescuing’ edible food from the rubbish bin and turning it into a tasty meal.
A group of Austrian artists made a web and TV series about wastecooking. Dumpster diving, they go in search of discarded but usable vegetables, fruit and bread. Nothing distasteful: the meal is then prepared by a talented cook and food blogger. Watch the episodes here and be inspired.
