Food
Food is at the heart of the Food Film Festival. This year we have focused even more attention on our chefs and menu. We have a special partnership with Restaurant Bridges in Amsterdam’s The Grand hotel. Joris Bijdendijk, Bridges’ new executive chef, in consultation with the festival, has created a delicious menu of sustainable dishes that are partly based on Bridges’ own menu. We’ve scoured the country to bring top producers and fair food to our (expanded) market and we’ve rounded up a fleet of food trucks. We know from experience that all those films and discussions about food make you hungry.
Restaurant and chefs For weeks, our chefs have been talking, testing and tasting in the FFF food lab. The result is a delicious three-course meal using as many local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients as possible. Need we say more? This unique menu alone should be enough to entice you to come to the festival. |
Philosophy The aim of the Youth Food Movement’s events is to inspire people to make conscious choices about what they eat. The chefs in the Food Film Festival restaurant have also been challenged to create a menu that is good, clean and fair. |
Market This year the Food Film Festival Market is bigger, better and more local than ever. On Saturday and Sunday, Timorplein will be transformed into a festive farmers' market. Discover the most diverse and lovingly made products and the people behind them. |
Food Trucks Meals on wheels, mobile kitchens or food trucks: whatever you call them, good street food is rapidly gaining ground in the Netherlands. During the FFF, take your pick from a row of mobile caterers. |
